Hamilton Beach 68880 First Impressions
Doesn't bother me.
This thing works well if you follow directions! Admittedly, the design is probably better and more secure on the ICE-30. I have used this 3 times in the first week and really love it. So in this case, the problem was caused by me not putting it on a level surface. First the bowl is not dishwasher safe. Do not scratch the interior, it will cause problems later. It is also easy to clean the components.

Home made ice cream.
Don't blame a perfectly good product for failing to recue you from your mistakes. As far as durability, it seems well made, but time will tell how it holds up. This drum is what chills the ice cream. Each batch of ice cream has been very consistent in texture. Any higher and it will not make ice cream, more of a slush. Freezing the ingredients to a slushy texture helps a lot. Today I went to make another batch of ice cream and now the lid will not lock down.
