After adding a washer, it started working again. They're a disc filter that sit in the bottom of the coffee basket. I highly recommend this to any coffee lover. We love that there is not any glass to break. Looks more expensive than than the price! After the holidays, I put my foot down& said we are going old school again. My Keurig, espresso machine and drip coffee maker now sit untouched.
