That's right.

During Christmas we had family members stay visiting from out of town. I like it strong, and we use a BOLDER coffee, like an espresso roast. I did a lot of research& finally settled on Cuisinart PRC 12 cup. But when it it works, the coffee is great. We decided to get a Peculator to try. Shortly before the warrant ran out, it failed to brew. So I unplug mine if heat is needed I just put my cup in the microwave.
