Makes very hot coffee.

Overall this is a great coffee pot for the money. I found the coffee to taste better than in my 8 cup Hamilton Beach. My husband takes a thermos of coffee to his office now. Reminds me of my Grandmothers coffee pot. It doesn't come all the way off but it does come loose. This made good coffee and was easy to take care of. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and is it ever fast to brew.
